The Gnomes only grow to about 30 inches tall, and live between 35 and 40 years. They fully mature into adulthood at 11 years old. The men generally grow their beards for their entire lives, never cutting them, except in cases of great grief or loss. They are an extremely musical people – they get their songs from the birds and the animals of the forest, who they can talk to with ease. The Gnomes are not grubby or dirty, they simply love the earth and all that comes with it. A group of Gnomes is called a Donsy, generally made up of 50 to 60 individuals, which can span eight or nine families and three to four generations.
The Gnomes are kind and caring and loyal, but lord the Donsy dinners can be annoying.
